Rave by Richard Perez
Snare and electrical distortion resonate through a festival that’s enormous. There’s a silence before it. How can they control this? The crowd is moving to the thundering uprise of sound that’s loud but soothing. I am construing the noise to a visual that soon becomes physical in a night completely spiritual. The concept is simple. We long for a happiness that’s unconditional. Original sights of lights moving forming illusions to enhance what the drug is doing. The bass drops, and the fact we dropped is obvious to the masses. With people in trances, we do anything. Everything happens. Perhaps when the lights go through the sunglasses, it increases our chances for love manifested in the lightning dances of gloves. Our light shows take everyone high above the imaginary cloud above the crowd raining down our own sweat. Rave— a night full of rain, thunder, and lightning, we can never forget.
