One Night Beauty by Richard Perez
She lies with me underneath my blankets, a beautiful girl that’s nameless. I feel shameless. Both of us blameless as our bodies lie adjacent to each other, slightly overlapped. Repeatedly our bodies clap. Her assets I tap into. Our stares are ever so sinful. Her eyes seem multifaceted, reflecting the moonlight into newly created colors. Usually you can call us lovers, but for this time’s sake call us escapers. We are trapped as individuals, but together we’re each other’s savior. It’s only human nature, as we exit to another world of lustful behavior that only the word beauty can describe. We revive the meaning of passion with every intense pleasurable action. No rational reasoning. The night we are seizing. No time for ceasing. We only live once, and to live we must. At times we must trust our primal instincts of lust. No need for justification or hesitation, life’s purpose is what we are embracing. Just once let us forget society. For tonight, no trying to be what others say we have to. A handful of rules that demand us to be something we’re not even glad to be. This unnamed girl and I enter this untamed world, and why should we not be the royalty of our own jungle?
